Development of heavy-duty vehicle representative driving cycles via decision tree regression

چکیده
Previously, researchers who developed representative driving cycles mainly focused on light-duty vehicles and only considered vehicle speed related derivations. In this paper, we propose a novel approach to develop for heavy-duty vehicles. By implementing decision tree regression (DTR) the Fleet DNA on-road data, broader set of metrics, such as engine power fuel consumption, can be used more robust cycle development. Additionally, influence each metric target is also accounted by weighted number derived through DTR enhance representativenss cycle. As case studies, applied proposed method five vocations (drayage, long haul, regional local delivery, transit bus) most cycle, well four extreme (maximal energy maximal power-weighted work, fraction high speed, minimal economy) advance alternative powertrain design.

The European Commission is examining test procedures to ensure that light-duty vehicle emissions are well controlled both in real use and over the legislative test cycle. At the same time, the UN Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) has developed a Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) that is expected to be used for Type Approval in the EU in the future. To identify...
متن کاملDriveline torque observer for heavy duty vehicle
In addition to fuel consumption and efficiency the expectations in driving comfort of heavy duty vehicles were substantially increased in the last years. The driveline has an essential role in drivability performance of the vehicle. Since it determines the driving efficiency as well, simple, but robust devices were quite widespread in production, but these can usually make driving more difficul...

Coupled with the growth of world economy, the demand of freight transport has escalated and will continue to do so. As the traffic intensity increases, the pressure on infrastructure, energy usage and environment becomes higher than ever. متن کاملDesign and analysis of a thermoelectric generator for a heavy-duty vehicle in real road test
Heavy duty vehicles have a great share on fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse gases in the world, while they waste two third of chemical energy of fuel. On the other hand, simplicity and long life of thermoelectric generators (TEGs) are considered more and more to convert thermal energy to electrical one. In this paper a TEG designed in the exhaust system of Renault Midlum 195 Dxi Engine. Th...
